Alpha Iota Gamma is the first and only professional healthcare fraternity at the University of Pennsylvania. Founded in the spring of 2009, ΑIΓ serves as a professional, academic, and social foundation for students interested in healthcare. Brothers are represented across all four schools and grade levels with disciplines ranging from pre-medicine, dental, nursing, healthcare investing, consulting, and more.

A Letter From Our President

When I first came to Penn, I was completely foreign to the idea of Greek life, clubs or fraternities all together. Since I was first generation and the eldest sibling, I didn’t really have the guidance or opinions necessary to navigate both a social or academic life, especially at a place as rigorous as Penn. On top of that when you add pre-health, college life simply does not get any easier.

AIR was the first organization that gave me a space to find direction and comfort that was otherwise really hard for me to find. Not only did I find peers to help me in difficult STEM classes or just with general college advice, I also found one of the most supportive and loving groups of people. Through community service, social events, academic help, an impressive alumni network, and so many other key factors, AIR for me has been second to none. To know that I am surrounded by such an amazing brotherhood that is limitless in talent and potential has helped in even the most overwhelming of times.

To all who are interested in joining AIR, I truly recommend it and we are so excited to meet each and every one of you. Whether it is in terms of goals, passions, backgrounds or even professions, the diversity that the brotherhood has prioritized creates spot for anyone.
